1.      Simple furniture is the best---work artistically with it. It also gives you more flexibility in choosing your decor style, and costs less—exactly in keeping with a low budgetJ

2.      It is preferable to use neutral colours for the furniture. That way, you can always

     change the colour scheme or

     renovate the entire décor

easily, without having to touch the furniture.

3.      Cushions can be used to create an attractive color scheme, while still keeping within your budget! In the picture above, for example, the cushions use a combination of a neutral off-white (to sync with the fawn leather of the sofa chairs) and a bright red (that adds an aspect of vibrant colour to the décor).

4.      The centre and corner tables are simple, each adorned with a single elegant crystal piece—a candy box and a vase.

5.      A table runner always adds a formal touch to any room décor. For this one, I woud’ve used something more fancy, just for a variety from simple contemporary to stylish and modern. This one, for instance.

Also, I think a cool, dark shade for a table runner would work well in this lounge, where everything else is warmer, don’t you?

6.      A rug under the centre table adds a luxurious appeal to your lounge room décor.

7.      Corner lamp—for a final touch of elegance. This one is literally no cost décor.
